The Teton Valley Skijoring Grand Showdown is one of the most thrilling winter events in the region, drawing spectators from near and far to witness high-speed action, incredible athleticism, and fierce competition. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of winter sports or new to the exciting world of skijoring, this event has something for everyone. Families can enjoy the excitement together, with a variety of activities and plenty of food trucks and drink vendors to keep everyone fueled up for the day. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with skiers and snowboarders flying through the course — navigating gates, clearing jumps, and collecting rings — all while being pulled by riders on racing horses.
The event is a unique blend of sport and spectacle and brings together top competitors from across the country, all vying for big prizes, including a coveted buckle for the fastest team with the fewest faults over the two-day event. The action is fast-paced with moments that will have you on the edge of your seat, whether you’re cheering from the sidelines with friends or enjoying the action on the jumbotron while you check out the local craft vendors and grab a drink at the beer tent.
