SUPPORT THE SPIRIT OF WINTER
When dusty boots meet frosty goggles, something magical happens in the Teton Valley. What started as a bold idea in 2023 has become one of the region’s most anticipated winter events, drawing thousands of spectators, competitors, and community members together to celebrate tradition, adrenaline, and local pride. But behind every buckle, every cheer from the sidelines, and every child seeing skijoring for the first time, there’s something else—you.
Your support through the Tin Cup Challenge fuels more than just a race. It powers community practice days that get neighbors outside, fosters intergenerational recreation, and supports our local equine rescue partners. It brings our valley to life in the heart of winter, boosts small business revenue, and most importantly, brings people together—across backgrounds, interests, and generations—to share in something uniquely Teton Valley. With your gift, we can continue to grow this tradition, strengthen our systems, and welcome even more people into the joy and grit of skijoring.
Give once. Impact many. Donate to Teton Valley Skijoring through the Tin Cup Challenge and help us keep the spirit of winter—and community—alive.
COMMUNITY COUNTS
The Community Foundation of Teton Valley hosts the Tin Cup Challenge Grant Program—an annual, six-week fundraiser that makes supporting local nonprofits easy and impactful. The Foundation promotes participating organizations and collects donations on their behalf, and partners with community “Challengers” who give undesignated funds that help partially match those gifts—boosting the impact for every participating organization. It’s a powerful way to come together and make local giving go even further.
One in three households in Teton Valley give through the Tin Cup Challenge—it’s a true community effort. Donations come in all sizes, from all over the valley, united by a shared commitment to giving back. When you give to Teton Valley Skijoring during the Tin Cup Giving Period, your designated gifts are boosted by additional funding from Challengers and Friends of the Challenge through a partial match grant.
One of the most innovative charitable fundraisers in the nation, the Tin Cup Challenge is also one of the most successful. Since 2008, this event has raised nearly $27 million, directly benefitting Teton Valley’s cherished nonprofits working tirelessly to enhance our quality of life. Accept the challenge and make a difference!
