Mission

Teton Valley Skijor Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Our mission is to honor the western traditions of both horses and winter sport racing for the purpose of increasing our local rural businesses revenues and creating a family-friendly, exciting community event.

our STAFF & team

Bridget Sweeney, Executive Director

Bridget brings 13 years of experience in Human Resources and project management to the team. She has been involved with the event since its inception in 2023, initially as a board member before transitioning into the ED position. A lifelong skier and horseback rider, Bridget is passionate about how the event unites people who share a love for these two distinct sports. When not planning events or volunteering, you can probably find Bridget riding her horse, Cardi B.

Neal Stobaugh, Board Chair

Neal holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Utah and has a diverse professional background with over 10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, 20 years in Technical Sales, and 15 years as a Chief Operating Officer. Three years ago, Neal became inspired to get involved in skijoring after watching his daughter, Tayler, fall in love with the sport. This passion for skijoring led him to found the organization, aiming to share the excitement of the sport with others.

Betsy Marsh, Secretary

Betsy is a marketing professional with a passion for skiing, endurance sports, biking, hiking, fishing, and even bees. She finds joy in exploring the outdoors and expresses her creativity through upcycling and music. She’s inspired by the unique blend of skiing and equestrian culture in skijoring, and is excited to be part of the Grand Showdown. For Betsy, this event is the perfect mix of adventure, timeless fun, and community spirit. She’s thrilled to champion the event in Teton Valley and deliver an unforgettable experience for the community. Saddle up and send it!

Kathy Cisco, Treasurer

Kathy moved to Teton Valley in 2009 without knowing a single person. Finding the people, lifestyle, and uniquely western properties here unmatched, she decided to stay and met her husband, Christian, an accomplished downhill racer who introduced her to the sport of skijoring in 2011. Christian participated locally after his brother Aaron had been on the circuit for years, and Kathy has been a fan ever since. She is so happy to be a part of bringing this event back to the valley!

Aaron Cisco, Member

Aaron is a father of three girls and a 22-year resident of Teton Valley. A former skijoring competitor based in Jackson Hole, he competed throughout the Intermountain West from 1999 to 2004. Aaron is deeply passionate about the sport of skijoring and its connection to the rich western heritage of the region.

Kelsey Kopak, Member

Kelsy brings a strong background in program management and sales operations, with over seven years at Microsoft as a Program Manager within the Finance organization, where she led cross-functional projects aligned with strategic financial goals. She has also supported sales enablement and operational efficiency at Samsung, Accenture, Porch, WonderForge, and Teknon. Outside of work, Kelsy and her husband Justin enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest with their two kids, Logan and Ellie, and their dogs, Gimli and Pippin—whether that’s hiking, skiing, or paddleboarding on an alpine lake. On rainy days, she can be found solving puzzles, playing board games, or tackling home projects. Kelsy’s involvement with Teton Valley Skijoring is fueled by both family and community: her sister is a skijoring enthusiast, and her family living in Driggs has inspired her to give back and help make a positive impact in the Teton Valley.

Scott Kelley, Member

Scott, a devoted father of two, is a US Coast Guard–licensed Chief Engineer with a BS in Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy and a licensed private pilot. He owns and operates a custom home and commercial development company and is the driving force behind event logistics, managing equipment and details with precision. An avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, Scott is also a trusted mentor—having taught Neal nearly everything he knows.

Sean Riley, Member

A lifelong resident of Teton Valley, Sean was roped into the world of skijoring by his wife, Bridget, who “sacrificed” him to their friends for the snowboarding division. He’s Scott’s right-hand man when it comes to equipment logistics, is the team “builder” of whatever is needed to keep things running smoothly, from ring stands to kids’ games, and is a solid, steady presence when helping horses and riders into the start gate at practices and competitions. When he’s not skijoring, Sean can be found at the gym weightlifting, riding his horse, Tonneau, or “rollerblade-joring” with his dog, Badger.

Jenny Wade, Member

Originally from Memphis, TN, Jenny brings over 25 years of nonprofit experience in donor management and fundraising, along with a lifelong passion for animals—from working with the Budweiser Clydesdales to founding a rescue. Through Teton Valley Skijoring, she focuses on promoting the sport and creating a community-centered event that celebrates horsemanship and adventure. Outside of volunteering, she enjoys trail riding with her horse, Solo, and her labs, Birdie and Winnie.
