About the Grand Showdown
The 4th Annual Teton Valley Skijoring Grand Showdown brings horses, skiers, and spectators together for two days of high-speed racing and winter celebration. Skiers are pulled behind galloping horses through a snow-packed course of jumps and gates—an unforgettable mix of athleticism, precision, and pure adrenaline.
Each year, thousands of spectators line the course to cheer on competitors and support a beloved community tradition. The event is entirely built and run by local volunteers, from course construction to safety coordination and competition management.
Proceeds and donations support course maintenance, horse and rider safety, volunteer training, and keeping competitor and spectator access affordable, so the whole valley can be part of it.
Join us for a weekend of speed, thrills, and fun at the Teton Valley Skijoring Grand Showdown — a tradition you won’t want to miss!
